SLAS embraces an award-winning virtual business model. Unlike a traditional transactional relationship business model, the SLAS virtual business model is based on a co-sourcing strategic alliance, which means service providers grasp the basic organizational tenets of working teams and partnerships, and share responsibility for the management and success of all initiatives and projects.

The fundamental backbone of a well-functioning virtual business is a small tightly-knit core team of professionals combined with select and strategically matched independent contractors and service provider companies. SLAS's core team will be headquartered in the Chicagoland area. Over time, existing SBS and ALA facilities will be re-evaluated with careful consideration to maintaining and further enhancing benefits for the current SBS and ALA membership. At the helm as Chief Executive Officer is Gregory F. Dummer, CAE. Greg was unanimously selected for this important position by the SBS and ALA boards of directors after a comprehensive interview process, thorough discussions and careful consideration.
